WHAT IS THE ONE LINK MEDIA® SYSTEM?
The One Link Media® System is a collection of individual hardware and software components that, when combined, provides customers with the ability to manage and "narrowcast" a full range of media content to customers at one or more venues (depending on jurisdictions).
It gives venues similar capabilities to that of a cable broadcast company in that it allows for the networked distribution and display of targeted information, entertainment and promotions using the full range of media file types such as video, stills or web pages.
The One Link Media® System is unique in the industry because it allows venues to integrate media with gaming and other live data from video, to broadcast, CCTV programming and much more.
So whether the goal is to list menu items at a restaurant, feed live sports games overlaid with a corporate logo or promote jackpot winners across the gaming floor, the One Link Media® System gives venues the power to combine and present media like the professionals.
HOW DOES PALTRONICS DEFINE MEDIA?
Media is a term used to describe the mix of visual and audible content from multiple sources, including:
- Live broadcasts streaming across television, cable or satellite networks
- Pre-recorded videos and animation
- Static or variable images, text and graphics
- HTML web pages
- Gaming data including jackpot amounts and winner information
WHAT FILE TYPES DOES THE ONE LINK MEDIA SYSTEM SUPPORT?
The One Link Media System supports and plays the following types of files:
- MPEG-2 file based video
- MPEG-2 multicast streamed video
- Local TV-Tuner card video
- Bitmap images (static)
- HTML/Web pages
- FlashTM animations (via web component)
- Scrolling marquee text in various fonts, sizes and colours
- Static text
- Jackpot amounts
- Jackpot winner information
Content overlaid on top of video sources can support transparency for merging video with non-rectangular images such as logos and text.
